Co-Teaching & Collaboration: Supporting Partnerships for Inclusive Classrooms

A one-day Workshop builds collaboration among Teams, whether full-time or flexible. Participants will strengthen their communication and collaboration by reviewing G&R’s components of an inclusive classroom community. Teams will also reflect on their existing partnership and the professional goals they intend to reach. This professional development opportunity builds teacher skills in the understanding and implementation of the various Co-Teaching Models and effective co-planning structures . This Workshop series instructs teachers in how to create inclusive lesson plans, considering UDL, DI, whole class and individual student goals.

Participants will learn:

• How to collaborate and communicate as a Team 
• The definition of and use for each of the six Co-Teaching Models 
• Various planning tools and strategies for implementing each of the Models 
• Will receive templates for co-planning and creating an inclusive, differentiated lesson-plan that provides access for the whole group, as well as for individual struggling students 

Intended Audience: This Workshop is geared toward General Education and Special Education Teacher TEAMS. Whether teams are together full-time or are flexible, it is recommended that both teachers on the team attend.
