Adaptive Materials to Support Diverse Learners in the Inclusive Classroom
For Teacher Teams and All School Based Staff
A one-day Workshop in which teachers will learn how to adapt and modify classroom and individual materials in order to ensure access to curriculum for all students, with and without Special Education services, in Least Restrictive Environments (LRE).
Participants will learn how to:
- Clarify student outcomes as they specifically relate to students with or without Special Education services and individual IEP Goals
- Record data and progress monitor goals.
- Design classroom materials that reflect the difference between Accommodations vs. Modifications, in order to ensure high standards and full access in the LRE
- Learn to how utilize Task Analysis in order to identify instructional barriers in everyday lessons
- Create and implement an individual goal
Participants will be provided with a template to create an Individualized Intervention Plan and Adaptive Material for their own students as well as samples and templates for individual adaptive materials to utilize in their own classrooms
